  Crashing/Freezing in Lineage II
  Question
Why is Lineage II crashing or freezing?
  Answer

First, verify that your PC's hardware meets the  minimum system requirements to play Lineage II.

If so, be certain that you have the  latest video drivers installed for your video card.

You will also want to ensure that you have all of the 'Critical Updates' (including Service Packs) and the latest version of DirectX (both provided by Microsoft) installed.

For DirectX:  Click Here

Lastly, run the Check file option on the Lineage II updater twice through. This will ensure your Lineage II client is completely updated.

If you are unfamiliar with any of above processes, please contact our Technical Support Team using the Ask a Question link. To help expedite the troubleshooting process, please include a DxDiag (DirectX Diagnostic) of your system. Our Technical Support Team will answer your support request as quickly as possible, in the order that it is received.

If you are unfamiliar with the DxDiag test, it is simple and easy to run. To do so, please go to your Start menu and then select the Run command. When the Run dialogue box appears, please type in 'DxDiag' (without the quotes), and click OK. A DirectX Diagnostics window will appear after a few moments. Once it has appeared, please select the Save All Information button. This will save the generated output from the report you have just run as a text file to a location on your computer. (For example, you may decide to save the DxDiag.txt file on your desktop.) Please attach this DxDiag report to your support request.
