These issues can be caused by a number of reasons. If your video card does not meet the minimum system requirements for Lineage II then you may have problems with graphics in the game being distorted or not appearing correctly. The minimum video card requirement for Lineage II is an NVIDIA® GeForce FX 5700 or ATI™ Radeon® 9600 video card. If you use a card that is lower in specification than the cards listed above, we cannot guarantee that the game will run correctly. Another common cause of video problems is old drivers. The latest drivers for ATI cards in desktop computers can be found here. Drivers for desktop NVIDIA cards are here.
If you use a laptop computer, you will need to contact your laptop manufacturer to obtain the latest updates for your card.
If updating the drivers does not resolve the issue then try lowering the graphics options in the game. Launch Lineage II, then click on Options. From here you can try various things like lowering the resolution or turning off shadows. Experiment with the options to see if any settings resolve your issues.
Some issues may be caused by having your AGP Speed setting at 8x. Please check the properties of your video card and change the AGP Speed setting from 8x to 4x. Also make sure you have the latest versions of DirectX installed.
If the above doesn't work try un-installing and re-installing the game completely. Then run a scandisk and defrag. If the issues continue after this please contact Technical Support using the Ask a Question tab.
