How can I reduce lag? |

Lag can be caused by many problems, including issues with the game server, issues with your PC, or issues with the Internet connection between the two. As these factors are related to each other, it may be difficult to pinpoint one reason for the problem. Let's start with some general questions to narrow down the source of the lag.
When the game lags, do you still see animations moving such as your character breathing or a fire burning? Are you still able to move your mouse and rotate the camera? Does your character ever snap back to where he was a few seconds before? Does the entire screen freeze with no movement at all, leaving you unable to rotate the camera or open the game menu until it starts moving again?
