How do I redeem my City of Heroes or Exteel Game Card?

All game cards must have been activated at the retailer register from where you made the game card purchase before you can register it.

Redeeming your City of Heroes Game Card

To CREATE a new game account:

1. Log into NCsoft Account Management. If you do not have a NCsoft master account please create one. ( How do I create my NCsoft master account?).
2. Click the Use a Serial Code link on your NCsoft Account Management page.
3. Type the 20-digit serial code in the spaces provided.
4. Click the Continue button.
5. If you already have existing accounts registered to your NCsoft master account, but still want to create a new and separate account, click on the CREATE ACCOUNT button. Follow the prompts to create a separate account. If you do not have an existing game account, follow the prompts to create your new game account.

You will be contacted via e-mail when the account has been fully activated and is ready to be logged into.

PLEASE NOTE: We strongly recommend you save the "Game Account Activated!" e-mail sent to you after the initial activation of your game account. That e-mail contains a very important piece of information that we use to verify account ownership. You may need it if you need help with your account later. That specific piece of information is only provided in the e-mail sent after the original activation of your game account. It cannot be resent.

To UPGRADE an EXISTING retail game account or trial account:

1. Log into your NCsoft Account Management page where your existing City of Heroes/Villains game account is located.
2. Click the Use a Serial Code link on your NCsoft Account Management page.
3. Type the 20-digit serial code in the spaces provided.
4. Click the Continue button.
5. Find the account you wish to upgrade and click the UPGRADE ACCOUNT button next to that account.

You will receive a message stating that paid time has been added to your account.

Redeeming your Exteel Game Card

You must have an Exteel game account to redeem your Exteel Game Card. If you do not have one, please create your Exteel game account using the instructions here: How do I create an Exteel game account?

To redeem your Exteel Game Card:

1. Log into your NCsoft Account Management page where your Exteel game account is located.
2. Click the Use a Serial Code link on your NCsoft Account Management page.
3. Type the 20-digit serial code in the spaces provided.
4. Click the Continue button.
5. Find the Exteel account you wish to upgrade and click the UPGRADE ACCOUNT button next to that game account.

You will receive a message stating that 1200 NCcoin has been added to your account.
